Alarming components

The HMI alarming components display the alarms raised by the runtime’s alarm manager. They are read-only views of the same live alarm state: the runtime decides what is in alarm, and these components decide how it is shown.

Every alarm carries one of four priorities — Critical, High, Medium and Low — and each component colours the four independently. All six share the same alarm filter (Areas, Category and Min priority), which decides which alarms that component shows; an empty value means “show all”.

Alarming must be enabled on the project before any of these show anything — see Alarming for the runtime side.

  • Alarm Banner — Fixed strip across the page that rotates through the active alarms.
  • Alarm List — Table of active alarms, with acknowledge, shelve and selectable columns.
  • Alarm History — Past alarm events, searchable, filterable and paged.
  • Alarm Indicator — Compact light showing the highest active priority.
  • Alarm Count — Badges counting the active alarms per priority.
  • Audible Alarm — Plays a sound per priority, and lets the operator silence it.
